The Energy Corridor District’s Annual Tree Lighting is a cornerstone community event, drawing thousands of residents, employees, and stakeholders together to celebrate the holiday season. As the District continues to grow as a premier business and residential hub, the 2025 Tree Lighting served as a vital opportunity to showcase the area’s vibrant culture and strengthen community ties through a high-profile, festive experience.


The Challenge
For the 2025 event, the District needed to move beyond traditional promotion. The challenge was to create a “destination event” feel that resonated with both high-level corporate partners and local families. They required a marketing partner who could provide a sophisticated, unified visual identity and a strategic communication plan to drive record-breaking attendance while ensuring the Energy Corridor brand remained front and centre.

The Solution
Blue Atlas developed a comprehensive, end-to-end marketing solution for Tree Lighting 2025. We acted as the strategic engine behind the event, ensuring that every touchpoint—from the first digital invitation to the physical signage on the night of the ceremony—was cohesive and impactful.

- Unified Event Branding: We developed a custom 2025 visual identity that integrated holiday tradition with the District’s modern aesthetic, applied across 40+ unique digital and print assets.
- High-Impact Digital Campaign: Our team managed a 6-week omni-channel push. This included 6 targeted email campaigns sent to a subscriber list of 13,500.
- Web & Social Growth Strategy: We optimized the District’s homepage and a dedicated RSVP landing page, which generated 8,794 and 25,508 visits respectively. Social media recognition reached a massive audience, with 56 targeted posts generating over 469,000 impressions and 75,100+ engagements.
- Comprehensive On-Site Collateral: On-site, we managed high-visibility assets including 5 large-format banners, 33 branded signs, stage signage, and flyers strategically placed to ensure repeated sponsor exposure.



Results
Tree Lighting 2025 was a resounding success, establishing a new benchmark for community engagement within the District.
- Conversion Excellence: Our digital strategy led to 7,278 total RSVPs via the central event hub, capturing registrations at the point of action and proving the effectiveness of the targeted user journey.
- Record-Breaking Attendance: The event drew an unprecedented crowd of over 3,800+ attendees, making it the premier holiday celebration in West Houston.
- Strengthened Corporate Partnerships: Through intentional design and premium brand positioning, we solidified ConocoPhillips as the event’s defining partner, ensuring their brand served as the central graphic across all touchpoints. Our comprehensive strategy also provided high-visibility recognition for key attraction sponsors—including CITGO (Santa’s Winter Wonderland), Siemens (Candy Cane Lane), Fluor (Reindeer Rest Stop), and Houston City College (Facepainting and Balloon Twisting)—effectively strengthening the District’s relationship with its most vital corporate stakeholders.
- Massive Brand Exposure: Our promotional run generated significant public visibility, including the distribution of 5,500 flyers and placement in 18 bus shelters across the District.
